There’s a little of Betty Cameron in a lot of homes in Baldwin Park. With a drapery here and a rug there, or maybe a side chair or a lamp, she’s left her mark in more than 100 homes in the community.

“I started doing draperies and window coverings,” said Betty, “and then it just blossomed… into everything!” She has even created an ecommerce site called One’s Nest where shoppers can choose from a variety of bedding collections and then “build” a room, with furniture and accessories that coordinate.

Her client list in the community grows by word-of-mouth, she said. There is a home in Baldwin Park that she said she has decorated three times, each time for a different owner. “There’s certain streets where she’s (serviced) everybody on the street,” Mike said.

“She’s making people happy. She develops a high touch relationship with each of her clients, and that’s why they keep coming back.”
